Description : The hotel was built in 1878 and is the oldest licensed hotel still bearing it`s original name in KwaZulu Natal. The Off Saddle Hotel was the first hotel ever in Natal and we are seeking to have it declared a National Heritage Site. It is based in the beautiful country town of Ixopo. Alan Paton`s " - Cry of the Beloved Country". The Off Saddle Hotel acts as the link between a host of different towns and cities including those of Pietermaritzburg, Durban and the Drakensberg region. Our quaint hotel has 17 rooms and can accommodate 26 people. There is a private swimming pool and secure safe parking. All our catering is done by Dino`s A la carte Restaurant.
